Dr. D’Adamo claims that the best diet for any individual depends on their blood type. He argues that each blood type represents certain genetic traits of your ancestors, including the diet they thrived in.

These individuals can eat foods like beans, dairy, tofu, seafood, grains, and beans. Besides, they should avoid corn, chicken, beef, and kidney beans, among others.

    4. Blood type O

    It is commonly referred to as the hunter type. Individuals with this blood type are recommended a high-protein diet based on mainly poultry, meat, fish, vegetables, and certain fruits. The diet is, however, limited in dairy, legumes, and grains. The diet closely resembles a paleo diet.

For example, individuals with blood type O have a lower risk of getting heart disease but a higher risk of stomach ulcers. There are various studies linking this risk with the diet.
